When an important skywatching event occurs, or whenever a particularly newsworthy article appears in Sky & Telescope, we'll issue a press release about it and post it here. Most such releases are also distributed via e-mail by the American Astronomical Society's press officer, Steve Maran, and/or deputy press officer, Richard Tresch Fienberg; freelance science journalists and accredited members of the news media may contact Steve or Rick by e-mail to sign up for this service.

We can help you as well. Whatever your needs — background materials, interviews, graphics, animations, or scripts — we can provide the expertise you'll need to convey what's happening in the night sky.
