Mars Science Laboratory: In Search of Origins
The Planetary Society, with the School of Physics NUI Galway, Galway Astronomical Club, CIT/Blackrock Castle Observatory Cork (and in association with ESERO and IT Tallaght) will present a media-rich talk in Dublin, Galway and Cork during Science Week Ireland 2011 titled “Mars Science Laboratory: In Search of Origins”. The talk celebrates the launch on November 25th of NASA’s Mars Science Laboratory (MSL) “Curiosity”- and Russia’s Phobos Grunt.

Mars Science Laboratory: In Search of Origins will be held in the following cities:

• Dublin Talk: 8.00pm, Monday 14th November 2011, The Mansion House, Dawson St., D2.
• Galway Talk: 8.00pm, Wednesday 16th November 2011, O'Tnuathail Theatre, NUI Galway.
• Cork Talk: 8.00pm, Friday 18th November 2011, Blackrock Castle Observatory, Cork.

Admission Free. Suitable for all ages. Simply turn up on the night.

The presenter is Kevin Nolan, coordinator to Ireland for The Planetary Society and author of the book “Mars, A Cosmic Stepping Stone”.
