ScopeX is South Africa's largest astronomy and amateur telescope making event. It is held annually at the Military History Museum in Saxonwold, Johannesburg. It is a family event featuring science shows, amateur telescope making displays, rocketry demonstrations, public lectures, and more.
Prizes are awarded for amateur-built telescopes and astrophotography.

Enter the raffle to win one of three telescopes, or buy your astronomy gear from one of the vendor's stands.

The day ends with a star party on the museum lawns.

Cost: R30 (R25 for kids and students, R15 for senior citizens)
