Nature's light (here the moonlight) looks so calm and elegant as compared to the lights of the concrete jungle made by man! This photograph displays the beauty of the crescent moon amidst the light pollution of the city of Mumbai! It was even more delightful for me to take this photo without the help of a tripod!

Picture of the shadow of Pic de Midi mountain (2877m heigh) over the fog covered plains. The image was take at sunset looking oposite the sun direction. Pic du Midi de Bigorre holds an astronomical observatory for sun and night observations. Its biggest instrument is a reflecting telescope 2 meters in diameter.

I used a Kodak Z740 camera mounted on a tripod with the lens set to F/2.8 for 8 seconds at Iso 400.

Description

Jupiter is so bright that I was able to capture its reflection in a spoon filled with vegetable oil. If you look carefully you will also see the reflection of my camera just below the handle of the spoon.
