Description

While preparing for the eclipse, I shot this picture of a gibbous moon. Instead of leaving the picture "normal" I increased the color saturation in Photoshop a bit to see if I could reproduce add some interest to the image. I was very surprised by the large range of lunar color captured in a simple snap shot.

This is negative of a 4 second long, guided exposure of Vesta (circled) near Jupiter. Omega Ophiuchi is at the lower right. Jupiter's moons Callisto, Io, Ganymede, and Europa are in order from left to right. North is to the upper right.
