Description

I visitted Yosemite Glacier Point midnight after the moon set. Here is the famous stargazing place in summer seasom, but I was alone at that night. I experienced good sky and landscape view, and silent night.

Description

At the first night of 2012, I stood on the edge of the cliff (3280m above sea level) to see this amazing moment. While the moon setting, Winter milky way and jupiter became more and more clear and bright. The colour of the sea of clouds and moon changed quickly as time passed.

Description

The transition from the Milky Way's central hub into the galactic halo is seen in this image. Ophiuchus / Scrpius transition into Libra as we look right (west) in the image. This area is populated with many globular star clusters as you would expect in this area and in areas beyond the central portion of our galaxy. The image was taken in the early hours of a March morning, a great way to get a snek peek at the summer night sky.
