This image was taken at the Bryce Canyon Astronomy Festival star party on Thursday night. The Astonomical League was having its annual convention; it was hosted by the Salt Lake Astronomical Society. Conditions were ideal: almost 8000 ft of altitude, clear weather, one of the darkest locations in the continuental U.S., and over 50 telescopes available for public viewing. |
