Description

The eta Carina nebula imaged about 1 hour before sunrise in the light of dawn. The nebula is bright and was still visible to the naked eye above the Southern Cross. The dar coalsack nebula is visible next to Crux. Below Crux the stars alpha and beta centauri and then the horizon already glowing.

Description

While walking along the coast of Worli in Mumbai I saw this beautiful crescent moon shining over the Haji Ali mosque and dargah in Mumbai! I had no tripod along with me and so it was very difficult to capture the moon without any shake! I am happy that I could get a clean and sharp photograph!

Description

While shooting the night sky in a remote portion of the Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, a bright meteor was kind enough to insert itself in the frame. A partial moon lit the landscape and 25-30 knot winds blurred the desert foliage.
