Equipment

A Olympus C-750 UZ digital camera, on a Sunpak photo tripod, with a polarizing filter, and a FLD filter. Exposure time: 1/800 second, at f/2.8, ISO 50.

Description

I decided to try imaging the Sun for the first time at sunset when it was at it's minimum brightness and heat. I put the polarizing and FLD filters on, to further reduce brightness coming to the CMOS chip in the camera. The Sun's light also shows nice contrast to the clouds around it.
