In spite of the presence of high cirrus clouds, the wispy details of the inner corona are clearly visibile. |

I was very wind and many clouds in the sky. I went up the rocks on the beach of Costa da Caparica, in Almada, Portugal and tried to record the beautiful conjunction between the Moon, the Pleiades and the planet Mercury, one of his rare appearances. I took several photos with different exposures, in some images we can see the track of an airplane. In the Crescent Moon we also can se a strong Earthshine. |

I captured an AVI of about 1800 frames at 10 frames per second. The transit lasted about .8 seconds so only 7 frames were stacked using Photoshop. I think an article on Calsky in Sky & Telescope would benefit many of your readers. Thank You Thomas Fretz |
