PhotographerMarc DelcroixLocationTournefeuille, FranceDateDec.12th 2007EquipmentLX200GPS 10" (altaz), barlow x3 + additionnal extensions, RGB Astronomik filters, SKYnyx 2-0MDescriptionThis was a frozen night, following one month of bad weather. The anticyclon brought me good seeing, allowing me to take a good view of details in Syrtis Major, Sinus Sabaeus/Meridiani, and a haze appearing on the limb, as well as the north polar cap and the north polar hood breaking in Cydonia. Final image has been resized 150%. |

M76 was imaged in December using narrow band HA and OIII filters while M57 was imaged in August with a combination of HA and RGB filters. |
