10-inch Newtonian reflector at f/4.8 with ATK-1HS CCD camera. Composite of several exposures between 0.5 and 10 seconds.

Description

Detailed view of the coma and the area of the core of the comet, enhanced by using a rotational gradient filtered processing. The brightest streamer we see is the beginning of the ion-tail.On the other side of the core, there are a few fainter jets, visible on most comets when approaching the Sun.

Description

This is the "sky-full-of-bullets" image of the meteor shower as seen near Kirazli village. I made this composite image using 18 pictures containing 18 Orionids, one more possible Orionid and a sporadic meteor.

Description

The biggest Full Moon in 2006: 33'45" (near the perigee). The Full Moon of January 2006 was the smallest: 29'40" (near the apogee). While watching the Harvest Moon set, its reflected image appeared on a clam flat in Portland's Back Bay. Two men were digging clams ... harvesting under a Harvest Moon.
