DescriptionShot using the main optics of the C-8 (2000mm f10) This was my first attemp at using a digital camera. AS an SLR, focusing was difficult, so the pic is a bit soft. The exposure was an unguided 30 seconds in mildy windy conditions, but very clear air. Background light pollution is high as Kennedy Airport is in the general direction (northeast) four miles from my location.

DescriptionI had forgotten about this comet. Took the dogs out on a fabulous cool clear night and noticed an odd fuzzy in the North sky. What a sight in the scope. Is that a bow wave visible on lower left edge of the comet in this image?
