Description

The comet offered a fantastic view. I estimated it to have magnitude -3. The tail was more than 5 degrees in binoculars.

Description

Comet McNaught while it was very low on the horizon from the lake of Bracciano, about 30 miles north of Rome (Italy). The clouds at sunset were spectacular, though!

Description

Comet McNaught 2006/p1. The colours in the photo are a true reflection of what was visible with the naked eye out of the back bedroom window of my house. An incredible comet.

Description

Comet McNaught low on the western city skyline. Only a couple of shots have been made because it was moving very, very fast towards the horizon. No special post processing except for raw conversion, crop and resize. Hope for more luck tommorow !
