Description

Image Credit: Richard Garcia/Ralph Megna From the 28 August 2007 total lunar eclipse, his is a mid-event image taken at the Garcia Observatory. The streaks are the lights on a DHL air freighter coming in for a landing at nearby March Air Base. The photograph is entirely the product of serendipity; we could have tried all night and not taken a shot like this on purpose.
