Our original plan was to observe the transit from Todos Santos a small town North of Cabo San Lucas. Bad weather made us move south a few minutes before transit started. You have to travel light for these once in a lifetime events. |

The heavy cloud cover was used as a natural solar filter and no other optical filtering was used. The images presented are raw unprocessed images. Your comments would be highly appreciated. |

I drove four hours west from Boulder, Colorado to find clear skies and photograph this historical event. As the Sun approached jagged peaks down a valley on the western horizon, smoke particles blown in from a distant forest fire caused the air to turn a vivid orange color. |
