Description

Venus Transit as seen from Evansville, Indiana. The Evansville Astronomical Society had telescopes setup on the bank of the Ohio River near the Evansville Museum to show the Transit to the public. Several hundred people took advantage of the opportunity. I had one scope set up for visula observing, and one for photography.

Description

In my attempt to take a picture of the transit with the my phone camera, I was able to capture the beautiful disk of Venus towards the bottom of the Solar disk. This photo was clicked half an hour after the first touch of Venus into the transit.
