HOMEPAGE BLOG by Stuart Goldman
For the Garden
Our Production Manager (and one of the people who sometimes has to stay late when an issue goes to the printer) returned to work Tuesday after a two-week honeymoon cruise. He mentioned to me that while he was home Monday recovering from jet lag, he saw a brief program on TV about some kind of open, bronze telescope.
Turns out that our local cable news channel had a story about a team of Vermonters who are bringing back the Porter Garden Telescope. You may have seen the work of Telescopes of Vermont at last year's Northeast Astronomy Forum.
Check out the 7-minute-long report online and see how the instruments are made.
Happy Thanksgiving!

This is truly a beauty, a work of art & craftmanship. I wish I could afford it...thanks for sharing this information with us, DonYan
