STARGAZING by Tony Flanders
Hobby Q&A
One of my favorite columns in Sky & Telescope is Hobby Q&A. That's because this column benefits from the curiosity and erudition of our readers, who often ask us some extraordinarily interesting and perceptive questions.
I particularly liked the Hobby Q&A from December 2008 issue. The questions were:
How far away can we detect exoplanets? How many stars are visible to the unaided eye, and how does this vary by season? How can the (forthcoming) Gaia satellite measure star positions far more accurately than the resolution of its mirrors?

Comet binoculars

Can anyone help me? I inherited a pair of Comet binoculars from my great grandfather and I cannot find a manufacturer.
I was hoping someone would know who the manufacturer was and if they still exist?
I've tried on internet searches but I'm not very good at it.
If anyone can, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks
