The new Spike-a Flat Fielder ($199.95) makes recording flat-field calibration frames a snap. This acrylic panel uses edge-lit LED lights with multiple layers of diffusion material to achieve uniform illumination of approximately 1% variation on telescopes up to 12 inches. It works with both CCD and DSLR cameras to remove vignetting and dust motes from your raw images. Each unit comes complete with a 110-to-12-volt DC power adapter, a 12-volt cigarette-lighter adapter, and an LED dimmer control box. Larger custom sizes are also available.
