If you own a Canon digital SLRcamera, you will soon be able to protect its sensor from dust during long exposures with Astronomik’s new EOS Filter Clip System. These custom astronomical filters, including H and an ultra­violet/infrared blocker, among others, snap directly into Canon EOS cameras without modification. All Canon lenses with the exception of the EF-S series work with the EOS Filter Clip System in place, as do functions such as autofocus, image stabilization, and mirror lockup. Fast astrographs and other telescopes that require precise sensor placement will work without additional adapters. Prices were unavailable at presstime.
