Astronomy Technologies now offers the Astro-Tech Voyager altazimuth mount ($299). This lightweight, yet sturdy grab-and-go telescope mount accepts standard Vixen-style dovetail plates. Each axis incorporates a 120-tooth worm gear with quality slow-motion controls that allow you to smoothly track objects at high-power. The mount can be configured for left- or right-hand operation of the controls. Capable of supporting telescopes up to 20 pounds (9 kg.), the Astro-Tech Voyager mount comes with an adjustable aluminum tripod that extends from 33½ to 47¾ inches.
