User Guide for S&T's Mobile Sky Chart

Main Menu

Horizon View:

Selecting this option opens the Horizon View, which represents a naked-eye look at the sky from the horizon to about two-thirds of the way up toward the zenith.

The first time you select this option, or if you have changed the location or date/time, there will be a delay as the Sky Chart is calculated prior to opening the display.

All-Sky Chart:

Selecting this option opens the All-Sky Chart, a map of the entire sky now visible.

The first time you select this option, or if you have changed the location or date/time, there will be a delay as the Sky Chart is calculated prior to opening the display.

Settings:

Selecting this option opens the Settings menu, where you can change your location (ZIP code), toggle daylight-saving time (DST) on/off, and set various chart options, including the date, time, and which star, planet, and constellation labels are displayed.

About:

Selecting this option displays a copyright notice and other program information.

Quit:

Selecting this option exits the program.
