Allsky video camera- a zenith pointing, low light level video camera with a fisheye lens. Meteors were recorded by detection and recording software.
Description:
This image is a composite of 363 Geminid meteors collected from December 11-14 on an allsky video camera. 229 were recorded on the peak night of Dec 13/14. All non-Geminids have been removed. The system records meteors brighter than about magnitude +2. Analysis of data collected suggests a peak visual rate of about 120 meteors per hour.
