Description:

Asteroid turned Comet 2008 GO98 (457175) is still about magnitude 17. Unfortunately, there is a star just to the right of the comet/asteroid in this image. 2008 GO98 has a faint tail above (west of) the coma. (457175) has an orbit of about 8 years and reaches perihelion in September when it may brighten to about magnitude 16 unless further cometary activity results in a brighter "comet".
