DescriptionThe Double Cluster in Perseus, aka NGC 884 and NGC 869, lies in a rich star field of the Milky Way. A favorite object at public star parties, most observers can pick out an orange star among the bright blue stars of the clusters. Studies suggest that the Double Cluster is relatively young and is approximately 7,500 light-years away. Image is a total of 2 hours exposure.
