Description:

Hermanus is very near the southernmost tip of Africa. We mmissed the first very dramatic re-appearance of comet McNaught from behind the sun 3 days earlier due to cloud. It was still brilliant when the sky cleared and I got some pics. From Gearings Point looking across Walker Bay over the New Harbour (the bright lights). Successive clear nights followed but the tail began to fade noticeably.
