Description:
This photo approximates what was seen with the naked eye. While taking phots one passerby told me he had just heard on his radio scanner a policeman calling for emergency assistance for what he believed was a plane in trouble, trailing smoke behind it. He was quickly informed by HQ that it was a comet!
