Description:

Comet P/2009 S2 McNaught was recovered on June 19 as P/2017 M1 and recently named Periodic Comet 353P McNaught. It will reach magnitude 19 in August and then fade below magnitude 20 in 2018. In this image which was an average of seven 10 minute images stacked on the comet, 353P is about magnitude 20.
