Viewing from Alameda, California, the moon appeared to descend down the western sky just over the San Francisco skyline during the later part of the lunar eclipse. This image was rendered by stacking 17 frames captured from a fixed location between 5:58AM and 6:44AM. It shows the actual size and positions of the moon over the City during this time and captures the transition from the total to partial phase..
