Description:

Baltimore was treated to just a couple of minutes of the eclipse at sunrise, before clouds obscured the remainder of the event. The photo shows the Washington Monument at Mount Vernon Place, Baltimore in the foreground. Composition of two images--one of the landscape and one of the eclipsed sun through the NDX400 filter. The photograph was inspired by A. Aubrey Bodine's iconic sequence of the July 9, 1945 eclipse, as seen from what we believe is the very same rooftop.
