Orion Telescopes & Binoculars adds to its Maksutov-Cassegrain line with a new 180-millimeter Mak ($1,199.95). This 7.1-inch, f/15 optical tube assembly (OTA) produces crisp high-magnification views even with long-focal-length eyepieces. The OTA comes with a 1¼-inch visual back and a dovetail bracket compatible with Orion equatorial mounts as well as many others. The scope is also available as the SkyView Pro 180 Mak-Cass ($1,549.95), which includes Orion’s popular SkyView Pro German equatorial mount, 26-mm Sirius Plössl eyepiece, 6 × 30 finder, and 90° prism diagonal. IntelliScope digital setting circles or other Go To options are also available.
