Scopes, Cameras, and much more will be on display at this year's Northeast Astronomy Forum and Telescope Show.

This weekend make plans to attend the largest annual astronomy trade show in America, at the Rockland Community College campus in Suffern, New York — the Northeast Astronomy Forum & Telescope Show (NEAF). Hosted by the Rockland Astronomy Club and cosponsored by Sky & Telescope, NEAF features the latest telescopes and accessories from more than 100 vendors. It also showcases talks by leading amateur and professional astronomers, and workshops geared toward all levels of hobbyist, from beginner to advanced.

Some of this year's marquee speakers include Alex Filippenko of UC Berkeley, Heidi Hammel of the Space Science Institute, and Steve B. Howell from the NASA Ames Research Center. Many activities will be available for families, including solar observing and evening telescope demonstrations.

Astrophotographers may want to check out the 6th annual Northeast Astro Imaging Conference, held at the Crowne Plaza Conference Center in Suffern on April 14-15. The event features lectures from some of the biggest names in astro-imaging revealing their tricks and techniques.
