Orion Telescopes & Binoculars' new Extra Narrowband Hydrogen-Alpha Imaging Filter lets you shoot high-contrast views of emission nebulae even from light-polluted locations. This 1¼-inch filter is threaded to fit most camera adapters and filter wheels, such as Orion's Multiple 5-Filter Wheel. Its narrow 7-nm passband features 90 percent transmission of the critical 656.3-nm wavelength of red light emitted by glowing hydrogen gas. With this filter you can do Hα imaging in moonlight, thus increasing the number of usable nights each month. The Extra Narrowband H-α Imaging Filter makes a great addition to the Orion LRGB Imaging Filter Set.
