This is a month of transition: Saturn sets just before Jupiter rises, and Venus is moving from the morning sky before dawn to the evening sky.

Overhead you'll find the familiar stars of the Summer Triangle. By now they've crested in the evening sky, with icy white Vega almost directly overhead as darkness falls.

Down in the south are the Teapot of Sagittarius and, to its left, the dim zodiacal constellations of Capricornus and Aquarius. Here's the stretch of celestial real estate that the Sun will cross in February.
