Equinox

Macintosh computer users can take full advantage of CCD cameras from Santa Barbara Instrument Group (SBIG) with Microprojects’ Equinox Image ($49.95). Autoguide long exposures using the camera’s onboard guide chip, program automated image sequences, and gain complete control of SBIG’s optional accessories, such as color-filter wheels, remote guiding heads, and active-optics high-speed guiders. The software also includes a complete suite of image-calibration tools featuring dark subtraction, registration, stacking, and color combination. Equinox Image supports all SBIG color and monochrome CCD cameras, as well as third-party focusers from Technical Innovations and Optec.
