A different view of green Comet 45P/Honda-Mrkos-Pajdušáková

Description:

In this image of green Comet 45P/Honda-Mrkos-Pajdušáková,which swept closest to Earth on February 11, 2017, and is rapidly moving away, I'm tracking the comet's nucleus against a background of blurred stars. This 10 minute duration image was taken at 3:00 AM this morning, MST, remotely from the iTelescope.com dark sky site in New Mexico (T3), using a 150 mm Takahashi Color imaging platform. Post-processing on Nebulosity and GIMP. Compare this to the image a few days ago, which shows the comet's nucleus moving against the background of fixed stars.
