Description:

Two fascinating and iconic nebulae are close to the "left" star in Orion's belt. The flame (NGC 2024 and Sh2-277) glows from the light of nearby Alnitak. The horsehead (Barnard 33) is a fortunately-shaped cloud of dust that obscures the red hydrogen gas behind.
