Description:

Comet 237P/LINEAR continues to fade as it moves away from Earth. The comet nucleus is now magnitude 20 and it's dust tail is only 4' (0.067 degrees) long where it disappears into the glare of the 9th magnitude star below the comet. The upper left insets show the comet nucleus and the lower right insets are a single 900 second image of the comet.
