Deep IR (830nm) OF The Mercury Transit

A Questar Q 3.5 telescope and a Nikon D700 modified for 830 nm photography. This is a single RAW image processed with Photoshop and colorized to the light purple color from the gray image acquired.
This photo shows a deep IR image of the Sun and Mercury in Transit. In deep IR some solar surface detail is visible and the sunspots and Mercury has good contrast.
