While very low in the sky from 37 degrees latitude, M8 or the Lagoon Nebula is a rich star factory to image. An open cluster of new stars sits just to the right of the hot spot of current birth. This is shot is composed of all unguided 5 minute exposures. 55 minutes of Hydrogen Alpha and 2 hours 20 minutes of Oxygen III. Ha for red, Ha+OIII for green, and OIII for blue.
