Description:

I admit it: I was a doubter! A penumbral eclipse is not very exciting. It's not even very noticeable. I was awake in the middle of the night so I took a few pictures every half hour, or so. I didn't see anything happening. The moon looked the same each time. I wondered if I read an old news article about March 23rd of some other year! But then this morning (the 25th), I looked at my pictures more closely and there actually is a small difference in shading. Very subtle.
