The forecast held little hope but the skies cleared shortly before totality. I rushed to set up my equipment on the icy walkway off the kitchen porch. I bracketed my shots and this one of totality looked best. Naked eye the moon was a dark red-brown with Saturn and the neighboring stars of Leo very bright. Altitude of Moon is 53° 16.68'.
