Description:

Winter solstice lunar eclipse taken from patio. A composite of 10 second exposure (to show surrounding detail) and 1 second exposure to show eclipsed moon. Visible constellations include Orion (bottom left), Taurus (bottom center) and the Pleiades (bottom right).
