Sainte-Croix-du-Verdon Provence France

Date/Time of photo:

2018 April 23 From 2:30 to 3:30 UTC

Equipment:

Naked eye view - direct sketch - and the day after watercolor on white paper and inverted in my workshop.

Description:

I went to a special area, mainly because I want to test the site prior to the next Lunar eclipse. So I went to a nice vista up the village of Sainte-Croix based on the same name lake. In the morning of April 23th, between 2:30 and 3:30 UTC I saw 8 rapid meteors, that was quite good for this old meteor shower. All the traces are directly spoted carefully based on the places of the villages, the stars, the planets and the Milky Way. After that I did the watercolor on special paper at home.
