M109 is a beautiful barred spiral galaxy in Ursa Major lying 84 million light-years away. This image was a collaborative effort between Sean Curry and Rod Pommier, largely due to weather factors in Oregon. Sean obtained the L data with his CDK and Rod obtained the RGB with his C14.
