DSLR CANON EOS 1000D plus ASTRODON filter. Fisheye SAMYANG 8 mm at F/3.5. Single 78-second exposure with VIXEN POLARIE tracking system on tripod. ISO 800.

Description:

From Agama River Camp in Namibia (southern Africa), this only 78-second exposure shows the morning sky above the desert. Jupiter is rising in the Zodiacal light in western Gemini. A bright meteor crossed Auriga. The eastern horizon extends from Taurus with Hyades and Pleiades, Orion and Canis Major with Sirius toward the southern sky with Canopus, the Large and the Small Magellanic clouds and Achernar (Alpha Eridani). The south pole is at extreme right of the picture.
