This image shows the Pillars of Creation and surrounding region in M16; the total integration time was 2 hours comprising 5 minute and 10 minute captures using 3nm H-alpha and O-III narrowband filters. Please note the green-blue gas cloud structure in the upper left section of the image; the two main pillars are located near the center of the image.
