Description:

South is up in this RGB image showing the recent outbreak, near Jupiter's central meridian, marking the beginning of the revival of the South Equatorial Belt. Two bright plumes are resolved with elongated dark material following to the upper right as it is being swept into the retrograding SEBs jetstream.
