This is the culmination of my exploration of Cygnus from my back yard, my summer 2016 mosaic. It has been an adventure into the dark areas of the undulating mountainous nebular complex around Gamma Cygni. I was surprised to find the forgotten Weinberger Planetary Nebula and amazed by the giant nebula structures and the cosmic bubble. The mosaic consists of 8 panels with and integration of around 200 hours of photography over July and August and two weeks of processing. I hope you find it as interesting, as I found the adventure of capturing it.

About Paul C Swift

Having had a background in the arts and worked professionally as a cinematographer and lighting cameraman, astrophotography made for a natural change in focus. I had always wanted to turn my camera to the skies. A move away from London to Valencia, Spain presented me with the perfect opportunity to do just that. The art work you see on this site was produced using basic equipment from a modest home observatory.
